Plant Operator - in- Training

Under the direction of the  Wastewater/Stormwater Manager or designee, operates motorized equipment and performs plant and facility operations and maintenance including grounds keeping; serves as Plant Operator Trainee performing Plant Operator functions as needed. Subject to after hours and weekend worked as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months of experience in grounds and facilities maintenance or related experience. Obtain Washington State "Operator in Training" Certificate within one (1) year of hire date.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior experience with wastewater treatment or sewer collection systems. Valid Washington State "Operator in Training" certification. Ability to work in severe weather conditions. Possess good mathematical skills.
