Corporate Technology & Risk (CTR ) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase's Controls, Compliance, Legal, HR and IT Risk agendas, with a focus on stability, delivery, efficiencies and people. The goal of CTR's drive to standardization, consistency and simplicity is a JPMorgan Chase architecture that fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across the entire enterprise. The disciplines within this organization are Compliance Technology, Oversight & Controls Technology, Legal & e-Discovery, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, HR Real Estate & Global Services Technology, and Third Party Risk Management.


Control Systems Technology (CST) provides strategic application development and production support across three client portfolios: Oversight & Control, Technology Controls and select Compliance Programs.


Responsibilities:
As a Technology Director, you will be expected to lead Technology Project Managers, Business Analysts and Application Development team members in the End-to End Program Delivery of a critical suite of capabilities to support technology needs of the Oversight & Control organization. In this role you will manage the firm-wide strategic technology solution to support control/compliance related data, provision of real time metrics and analytics, and state-of-the-art enhanced visualization of control/compliance reporting. You will manage a portfolio of programs, project deliverables, timelines, issues, risk, and dependencies of multiple, complex projects. In addition, you will interface with the business client in Oversight & Controls to establish a multi-year roadmap and to prioritize business demand (Book of Work), implement a robust Change Management and Governance model, provide leadership and strategic thinking, and be conversant in developing and supporting the technology strategy in support of the business client.


The Technology Director is required to drive all aspects of the initiative including planning, analysis, design development and implementation. Leading this effort includes the management and integration of multiple work-streams and coordination of resources. The role will support all aspects of the budget for the project including funding approval and manage forecasting and tracking of project spends. In addition, the Technology Director is responsible regular reporting on the status of the initiatives and senior management presentations.


Job functions


• Define project scope and influence priorities
• Oversee development and management of detailed plans and schedules that define resources, milestones, tasks, time-frames, and costs needed to meet project objectives
• Influence staffing model and oversight necessary to ensure effective execution of contractor resources
• Identify risks and changes to project scope
• Report on project status; Identify and track project progress against defined milestones andexpenses
• Escalateissues, frame options & impactsand present recommendations
• Organize and facilitate project level meetings
• Identify metrics and measure project success
• Adhere to the CST Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology
• Adhere to Global Technology (GT Drive) mandates and manage key metrics
• Maintain effective relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and key partners
• Maintain Clarity (Project reporting tool)

•15 + years of experience in ITProgram /Project Management within a large complex environment is required

•10 + years of experience with managing multiple concurrent application development projects is required

•Prior experience managing a large size technology team in an onshore/offshore environment is required
•Extensive experience with effectively leading the strategic direction of application portfolios
•Experience working in complex matrix management environment
•Experience in data related projects, data warehousing methodology and technology
•Proven experience in architectural and solution design
•Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to translate vision and strategy into clear actionable goals, establish priorities and achieve measurable results
•Able to manage budgets, funding approval, forecasting and tracking of project spends
•Demonstrated organizational, management and leadership skills.
•Track record of establishing and maintaining collaborative cross-organizational partnerships to achieve results
•Skilled in use of the Microsoft Suite of tools
•Compliance, Control and/or Operational Riskexperience a plus
